Mylane
Bella-Smuts
creative director (she/her)
Mylane holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from John Carroll University, where she studied accountancy and leadership development. While there she began her career in public accounting as a tax associate at one of the Big Four accounting firms. After more than three years in tax compliance roles, Mylane made a switch onto her firm’s strategy team where she now focuses on the strategic management of the firm’s overseas teams. Mylane’s endeavors in the accounting world have helped her to create a successful portfolio of skills and network of people to assist with the operations of 813 Mgmt.
As a choir kid at heart, Mylane’s true passion lies in creativity. Growing up she logged thousands of hours on the piano taking lessons for 15+ years, working on projects in GarageBand (she has since upgraded to Logic), and participating in her high school theater and choir programs as an accompanist and a performer. Currently, Mylane is working on her solo indie pop project where she goes by the stage name ‘mxlane’. she plans to release her first ever ep this year.
When Mylane is not organizing her tasks in Google Sheets, or producing new music in Logic she can be found attending shows and music festivals around Cleveland, catching a sunset by Edgewater Beach with her friends, or snuggling with her and Brian’s new mini Aussie, Peaches.
